University of Massachusetts Rowing
est. 1871
| Our club today carries on the long and successful heritage established by the Aggies of years gone by. Like those champions of 1871, we bring to bear the same spirit and dedication to the Connecticut River. | Rowers here learn what it takes to succeed in all arenas of life. We have graduated men that have gone on to national teams and the olympic games. But the successes they have found on the water have carried them on to greater heights both personally and professionally. Check out our alumni database to see where some teammates have ended up in the world. We value success and expect nothing but that from our athletes. |
Welcome to UMass Rowing. |
Boathouse: |
The UMass Boathouse was built by The Friends of UMass Rowing in 1988 by Alumni, Rowers and Coaches. The men's and women's program share this facility with Yankee Rowing Club - made up of alumni and friends of UMass Rowing that couldn't kick the habit. The boathouse is located in Northampton, MA about 4.5 miles from campus on the Connecticut River. The river gives us dozens of rowable miles in each direction. The Boathouse is also located next to a very long bike trail, convenient for those mornings when you need to run for a while waiting for the fog to lift. |

| Indoor Facilities: |
When not training on the Connecticut, the crew trains on Campus at the Totman Gym. There we have a rowing simulation tank for keeping up on technique, as well as a large weight room and many Concept II Ergs. |
